OSTEN-SAKEN
OFF STAGE
FESTIVAL

The Osten-Saken off-stage festival of free theatre began with its location—a site-specific event inspired by the ruins of a baron’s house in the village of Nemishaeve, which also gave the festival its name. Our studio handled both spatial and graphic design for the event.

For seating, we used scaffolding and building nets, symbolizing the metaphorical repair of the ruins. We conducted a 3D photogrammetry scan of the house to spatial planning and incorporated the model into the festival’s identity and merchandise, lending it a contemporary aesthetic. The graphics, rooted in the historical landmark, reinterpreted its significance. The merchandise also served as a fundraising tool to help stabilize and preserve the building for the future.
