Hostel and rest room for workers

For the first time, we received the task of revitalizing the former industrial structure owned by the logistics corporation. The management decided to improve the living conditions of personnel on the territory of the enterprise. For this purpose, 450 square meters of tire shop area was allocated. The task was to develop a project taking into account all the specifics of the presence of drivers and locksmiths on the territory of the enterprise, the mode of operation, irregular loading, sharpening of the characters of workers. One of the first projects where we conducted in-depth interviewing of staff and form a typical image, to take on it and simulate the optimal space. We decided to leave the industrial spirit of space and the main elements of the design are the existing designs, massive beams, textures. Specific household processes and the mode of stay of workers on the territory dictated a certain decision of the wardrobe, luggage and changing rooms. These blocks interact with us and in principle form one whole. For drivers it was necessary to foresee a small hostel for 25 seats. We tried to make it look like a barracks with beds. The architecture of the sleeping blocks gives a visual isolation / isolation so that everyone would have a certain sense of personal cozy space.  In the process of implementation, it is planned to reuse many elements that were detected during dismantling works and on the territory as a whole, namely cranes, glass tubes, tires and old radiators.
